PAECT is a dynamic professional organization offering leadership and networking opportunities to professionals throughout the Commonwealth by nurturing the exchange of ideas, information, resources, and emerging developments in current technology issues.

Northwest Pennsylvania Association of Educational Communications and Technology

NPAECT's goals are to:

  • Promote the use of instructional design and technology in training and education.
  • Encourage interaction and professional growth among instructional technology practitioners in government, industry, academia, and health care.
  • Provide a forum for the sharing of promising practices and new developments in instructional technology through meetings, seminars, workshops, tours, and other events.

Keystone State Reading Association

KSRA, an affiliate of the International Reading Association (IRA), is a state-wide organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania comprised of individuals who are engaged in reading instruction, literacy development, and the encouragement of lifelong reading habits. KSRA's mission is to promote literacy, provide instructional leadership, support professional development, and advocate literacy issues. KSRA believes in the importance of collaborating with other organizations in achieving its purposes and goals.

The National Staff Development Council is committed to ensuring success for all students through staff development and school improvement. Our goal is that all teachers in all schools will experience high-quality professional learning as part of their daily work by 2007.

IRA was founded in 1956 as a professional organization for those involved in teaching reading to learners of all ages. Our members are dedicated to promoting high levels of literacy for all by:
